Global Stimulus to promote Green Jobs The global financial crisis, coupled with a long overdue move to a green jobs economy, makes it more important than ever that the Institute trains more people and organizations. As part of our contribution to stimulate green jobs, the GHG Management Institute is proud to announce that it is now in a financial position to be able to lower the fees for training courses and programs. Certificate of Training in GHG Accounting consists of the following courses:
- Basics of Organizational GHG Accounting
- Basics of Project-level GHG Accounting
- Setting up a GHG Information Management System for Organizations
This certificate is for those interested in a through introduction to GHG accounting and the key standards and best practices in this area. No special technical skills are necessary, although some understanding of climate change is preferred. Upon completion you will be prepared to actively engage in greenhouse gas management and markets.
The tuition for the Certificate of Training in GHG Accounting is US$2,400. This includes the tuition for all three courses and all of the associated proficiency exams. The program represents a savings of 16% if the courses were enrolled in separately.

This package is specially designed for CDP respondents not only to help
answer the CDP questionnaire but to provide an accessible entry point
to the larger universe of carbon accounting. The bundled course includes the following courses:
- Carbon disclosure Project: How to Respond to Questionnaire
- Basics of Organizational GHG Accounting

- Review of principals and tools guiding CDP7
- Hands-on exercises to address core carbon accounting principals

- GHG Verification for Inventories and Projects
This certificate is for those interested in a through introduction to GHG accounting and the key standards and best practices in this area, as well as rigorous training on verification of emission inventories and offset projects. Upon completion you will be prepared to actively engage in greenhouse gas management and markets and be an intelligent consumer of verification services. In the future, training to become a certified verifier will be offered by the Institute, which will incorporate rigorous courses on sector-specific verification methodologies.
The tuition for Certificate of Training in GHG Accounting and Verification is US$3,900. This includes the tuition for all four courses and all of the associated proficiency exams. The program represents a savings of 17%, if the courses were enrolled in separately.
